Dr. Olutoye giving "Happy Juice"
Recovery Room
YEA!!! Joy gets to keep the esophagus God gave her, though it is a little shorter now, it is a great blessing and answer to prayer. She was under for 6 hours today and is back in her room without having to go to ICU for the night.
Dr Brandt was so encouraged by the outcomes of both girls. Now we need to pray for no infections or leakages. They will both have swallow tests on Monday. If all goes well with that they can start to eat ice cream and soft things and work up to regular foods soon.

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,And give you peace.”
We are praying for you all.

What wonderful news! We are so happy for you.
This truly is a blessing - Thank you so much for sharing your discovery with a blog - that first icecream cone sounds like a great goal. Wishing ALL the Coverts an easy downhill slide from here -- love from Dana in MA
