A Great Day!

Saying goodbye to ICU
Her all day smile
O.R. decorated her throat with stickers

Stickers from Radio Lollipop. TCH's own radio station that is broadcast throughout the hospital and kids can go and be on the show and there is a craft and fun room connected. They have a blast! Tonite was pirate nite!

Mercy has amazed the doctors and nurses. To think she had body parts laying on the table yesterday and under anesthesia for 10 hours they just couldn't believe it. She has had this smile on her face all day. She is so proud of her new throat and the ability to swallow her own spit! She said she use to be ashamed. She is also happy about the fact she has no pain (thought there would be a lot of it after surgery).
She was moved out of ICU this afternoon and is on the regular floor. She is still coughing a lot and having a hard time getting it up. It has to get out or they worry of phemonia setting in. Her temp has stayed pretty steady at 99.8 to 100.5 and spiked once to 101 but so far so good on the temp!
Joy comes in tomorrow to begin prepping her for surgery.
